PCI429-4 module is designed in standard universal (+5V/+3.3V) PCI card form-factor and contains ARINC 429 interface channels and discretes interface.

Main parameters:

  • Channel processor for ARINC data transfer control;
  • User accessible 16-bit I/O ports on PCI bus: 16;
  • Interrupts on PCI bus: 1;
  • Rx ARINC 429 channels (KP), no more: 16 (8);
  • Tx ARINC 429 channnels (KV), no more: 16 (8);
  • Rx ARINC 429 frequencies: (12..14,5) kHz, 48 kHz +/-25%, 100 kHz +/-1%;
  • Tx ARINC 429 frequencies: 12,5 kHz +/-1%, 50 kHz +/-1%, 100 kHz +/-1%;
  • Input discretes "open/gnd" (with interrupt): 4(2);
  • Output discretes "open/gnd": 2;
  • Output discretes (or transmit flags) "TTL": 2;
  • RAM 64K 16-bit words;
  • Power supply:
      +5V +/-5%, Icc no more 350 mA;
      +12V +/-10%, Icc no more 200 mA;

    Main operating modes of the module:

  • Receiving of ARINC data on 8-bit label with interrupt on specified label.
  • Receiving of file of defined number of ARINC words, starting with defined label, with interrupt on label and words count.
  • Receiving of file of defined number of ARINC words with interrupt on words count.
  • Receiving of ARINC data on 10-bit label in global buffer (common with KV) in schedule mode with interrupt on receiving defined labels.
  • Single or cyclic transmission of ARINC data file with interrupt on words count.
  • Cyclic transmission of ARINC data file with interrupt on words count and clearing of transmitted labels.
  • Cyclic transmission of ARINC data in schedule mode from global buffer (common with KP) with interrupt on end of frame of transmission schedule.
  • Command mode of control of the module.
  • Vector interrupt identification for ARINC channels.
  • Formation of transmit flags from 2 Tx ARINC channels for Request/Ready mode.
  • Programmable hardware redundant mode for 2 Tx ARINC channels.
